Helicopter from bin Laden raid now back in US

The helicopter was damaged during the May 2 raid at bin Laden`s hiding place in Pakistan and US commandos blew it up so it wouldn`t fall into the wrong hands.

Washington: The Pentagon says the wreckage of the US helicopter destroyed in the military operation that killed Osama bin Laden was returned by Pakistan over the weekend.

The helicopter was damaged during the May 2 raid at bin Laden`s hiding place in Pakistan, and US commandos blew it up so it wouldn`t fall into the wrong hands.

The US demanded that Pakistan return the remains of the helicopter. Defense Department spokesman Col Dave Lapan says it is now back
