Italian PM in more trouble `over escort girl`s allegations`

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi seems to have landed in more trouble, after an escort girl has claimed that she was attacked and threatened after sleeping with him.

London: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi seems to have landed in more trouble, after an escort girl has claimed that she was attacked and threatened after sleeping with him.
Patrizia D`Addario has made the allegations in her memoirs in which she gives a lurid account of her meetings with 73-year-old Berlusconi last year.

In the book, titled `Gradisca, Presidente` (Take Your Pleasure, Prime Minister), excerpts of which are published by Italian newspaper `Il Fatto Quotidiano`, the escort girl has described how she spent the night of the US election a year ago with Berlusconi.

D`Addario has also claimed being taken to Palazzo Grazioli, Berlusconi`s residence in Rome, after being briefed on his sexual tastes by one of his businessman pals Gianpaolo
Tarantini, currently under investigation for allegedly paying women to attend parties given by the Italian leader and other VIPs, `The Times` reported.

She wrote that after she returned to Bari she received anonymous phone calls -- which she also recorded -- in which she was called a "whore and a bitch". The caller threatened to "break your bones and rape your daughter". The escort girl has claimed her mother was assaulted by a man who told her: "This is to teach your whore of a daughter a lesson", and four men dressed as police tried to break down her door, while another man, a former policeman, at first offered to protect her but then ransacked her flat and tried to rape her.

She has also said that she reported all the incidents to the police, but realised that her life was in danger when she was forced off the road while driving to Bitonto.

D`Addario has said that a car tried to ram her from behind and that her vehicle spun out of control and ended up facing the opposite way. "It was a miracle that I survived and
did not hit another car," she wrote in her book.

However, there has been no official reaction to the allegations.
