Kathmandu: Maoists in Nepal on Wednesday intensified their anti-government stir and picketed all the 75 district administrative offices in the country disrupting work.
Hundreds of Maoist cadres, waving red flags, staged a sit-in-protest in front of the Kathmandu District Administration office at Babarmahal as part of their agitation to oppose President Ram Baran Yadav`s decision to reinstate former army chief in May.

They also prevented the staff from entering into the premises despite presence of security personnel.

The protesters also shouted slogans like "down with puppet government," "Implement Peace Agreement", "Remove unconstitutional government" and "Maintain civilian supremacy".

Maoist agitators have blockaded the Parliament preventing its sittings since May. They have also threatened not to allow the passage of the budget this month.
