A small bus carrying workers crashed head-on with a truck in central Poland.

Warsaw: Polish police say a small bus carrying workers crashed head-on with a truck in central Poland, killing 17 people.
A spokeswoman for the regional police, Magdalena Siczek-Zalewska, said the crash occurred early Tuesday morning on a local road near Nowe Miasto, some 50 miles (80 kilometres) south of Warsaw.
She said one person is hospitalised with serious injuries. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
