Prince Harry trained enough to take on Taliban

Britain’s Prince Harry is skilled enough to train to fly the GBP 46 million Apache attack helicopter and take on the Taliban.

London: Britain’s Prince Harry is skilled enough to train to fly the GBP 46 million Apache attack helicopter and take on the Taliban.

According to The Sun, 25-year-old Harry will decide with senior officers in the next 36 hours whether to opt for the gunship. Alternatively he could stick with his original choice of the GBP 30 million Lynx 9A.

A source said last night: "It`s a huge coup. Only the cream of the cream fly the Apache. It means so much to him after his stint as a Forward Air Controller. He was incredibly impressed by Apache pilots."

Selection for one of six Army Air Corps` Apache squadrons is more competitive than joining the SAS.

Only 24 pilots finish the GBP 3 million Apache training every year.

St James`s Palace is expected to make an official announcement on the decision.
