Washington: A controversial pastor has claimed US President Barack Obama is racist against white people and that his mother influenced this thinking because she `hated being white`.
Jesse Lee Peterson, who was a guest on Fox News, made the accusation during an episode of the conservative TruNews `BlogTalkRadio` show last week.
According to the Huffington Post, Host Rick Wiles began the discussion with the claim that Obama is `not the first black President` but the first `mixed-race President`.
He parroted a popular conspiracy theory that Obama has ties to the so-called `New World Order`, an alleged elitist totalitarian plot to create an authoritarian world government.
Wiles said that Obama was raised by white people and he was raised by white people who were connected to the New World Order.
But Peterson objected, claiming that Obama does not identify with his white half at all and speculated that his mother was at the root of these alleged opinions.
He said Obama`s mother hated her colour, she hated being white, adding that Obama may have been brought up not to accept that side of himself and that adds to him being a racist because he doesn`t really respect white folks.
Peterson also called Obama evil, a socialist and possibly a Muslim.
According to the report, right-wing activists have long claimed, without proof, that Obama is racist, but this unsupported accusation against his mother, Ann Dunham, is new.
