New Delhi: Some saw them, ignored and went on their way. Whereas, some preferred to question and raise objections over the visible huge mismatch in the ages of husband and wife.
The video was shot by an NGO Kafa, which means ‘enough’, with support of United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) against the child marriages in Lebanon.
In the video, an elderly man, dressed in black suit is seen posing with a teenage girl for photographs on a beachside.
The man defended himself claiming that he married the teenager with her parent's consent. However, locals were not impressed and one of the woman insisted on taking the girl alongwith her as she was like her daughter and she can't leave her with that man.
Thank god! this video was just a part of the awareness campaign, not the reality. But it managed to highlight successfully a major social menace.
