Luhansk: Contrary to reports that British national Samantha Lewthwaite aka 'White Widow' has been shot dead, new updates state that she is still alive and residing in Somalia with her jihadist husband, an al Qaeda associate.
Information obtained from a Kenyan source revealed that an updated profile of Lewthwaite claims that she is not dead yet, Daily Mail reported.
A picture that clearly identifies her husband as Fahmi Jamal Salim has been found on his forged Mozambican passport obtained by MailOnline.
A selife featuring Lewthwaite and Salim at their home is also being probed now. Police are using these images and pictures of their two children in a countrywide manhunt for the couple.
The Kenyan authorities are also demanding to see Samantha's body and have asked for evidence proving that she has been part of any militia outside East Africa.
According to a Russian news agency Regnum, Lewthwaite was shot two weeks ago while fighting against pro-Russian rebels for the Ukrainian volunteer battalion Aidar.
The Daily Mail has quoted a senior source as saying that Samantha has been linked to other jihad suspects in the past and she is in a stable marriage with Salim and has two young children with him.
Several media reports have speculated her possible role in Nairobi's deadly mall siege last year after Kenya's foreign minister said a British woman was among the Islamist Al-Shebab attackers.
Samantha, who is the widow of London suicide bomber Jermaine Lindsay, is reportedly said to have secretly married a Kenyan Navy officer after her husband died in the London 7/7 attacks.
