AP: Five women killed in road accident

Karimnagar: Five women were Wednesday
killed and 20 other people were seriously injured in a road accident, when two vans collided here in the wee hours, police
said.
The incident took place when as many as 30 people were
returning from Gattu Bhutkur village in Gangadhara to West
Maredpalli in Secunderabad, after attending a marriage
function, in a van, which was hit by another speeding van
coming from the opposite direction.

Five women of the marriage party were killed on the spot.
They were identified as M Vijaya (30), M Saramma (50), M
Padma (32), N Kalamma (29) and Ch Buchavva (40).

The injured including the bride and groom were shifted to
the District Head Quarters Hospital, police added.
