North East Frontier Railway services rescheduled

The North East Frontier Railway has cancelled, short-terminated, diverted and regulated several trains from Thursday due to construction work on the new broad gauge line between New Coochbehar and Golakganj stations.

Guwahati: The North East Frontier Railway
has cancelled, short-terminated, diverted and regulated
several trains from Thursday due to construction work on the
new broad gauge line between New Coochbehar and Golakganj
stations.

NF Railway Chief Public Relations Officer S Hajong
said here today that the changes have been made from November
3 to November 11 due to non-interlocking work at New
Coochbehar and Golakgunj for the proposed commissioning of the
new broad gauge line between New Coochbehar and Golakganj.

Trains to be cancelled include New
Jalpaiguri-Bongaigaon-New Jalpaiguri Passenger,
New Jalpaiguri-Bamanhat Passenger, Bamanhat-New Jalpaiguri
Passenger, New Jalpaiguri-Alipurduar Junction-New Jalpaiguri
Intercity Express.

The trains to be diverted or short-terminated include
Sealdah-New Coochbehar Uttarbanga Express which will be
diverted to run via New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri Junction up to
Alipurduar Jn instead of its original route via New Jalpaiguri
- RaninagarJalpaiguri up to New Coochbehar and will terminate
at Alipurduar Jn.

Accordingly, New Coochbehar-Sealdah Uttarbanga Express
will originate from Alipurduar Jn instead of New Coochbehar
and will run via Siliguri Jn-New Jalpaiguri instead of via
Raninagar Jalpaiguri - New Jalpaiguri.

Malda Town-Coochbehar DEMU Passenger leaving Malda
Town will be short-terminated at New Jalpaiguri and will
remain cancelled between New Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar.

Coochbehar-Malda Town DEMU Passenger will originate
from New Jalpaiguri instead of Coochbehar, Sealdah/Raninagar
Jalpaiguri-New Alipurduar Link Teesta Torsa Express scheduled
to leave Sealdah will be diverted to run via New Jalpaiguri -
Siliguri Jn up to Alipurduar Jn instead of its original
route via New Jalpaiguri.

Link Teesta Torsa Express will originate from
Alipurduar Jn instead of New Alipurduar and will run via
Siliguri Jn-New Jalpaiguri instead of via New Coochbehar-
Raninagar.

The trains likely to be regulated at various stations
during that period include Delhi-Dibrugarh Brahmaputra Mail,
Howrah-Dibrugarh Kamrup Express, Dibrugarh-Chennai Egmore
Express leaving Dibrugarh, Lalgarh-Guwahati Avadh Assam
Express and Barmer/Bikaner-Guwahati Express.
