Gaya: One more child died of Japanese encephalitis in the Anugrah Narayan Sinha Medical College-cum-Hospital here with which the death toll due to the
disease rose to 27, a hospital official said.
The child died due to Japanese encephalitis, hospital superintendent Sitaram Singh said.
Nine fresh cases of the disease have been reported in the past 24 hours, he said.
In all 30 children were undergoing treatment in the hospital for symptoms of Japanese encephalitis.
Singh said most of the patients had come from Gaya, Aurangabad and Nawada districts of Bihar and Chatra district of Jharkhand.
