Bihar: Hardcore Maoist held

A countrymade pistol and four live cartridges were seized from the ultra identified as Daroga Rai.

Sasaram: A hardcore naxalite was arrested by securitymen from a market in Rohtas district on Sunday, Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team assisted by Kobra battalion of CRPF raided Naohatta Bazaar and arrested the ultra identified as Daroga Rai.

A countrymade pistol and four live cartridges were seized from him, he said.
Rai was wanted in connection with a landmine blast triggered by Maoist at Dabuamore in the district in 2003.
