Bihar polls: Names of Cong candidates by Sept 25

Patna: Congress will release its list of candidates for all the 243 assembly seats in Bihar latest by September 25, its legislature party leader, Ashok Ram said on Sunday.

Prior to that the names selected by the BPCC would have to get clearance from party president, Sonia Gandhi, Ram told reporters here.

Ram said the names of the candidates would be announced at one go so that the nominees got time to prepare themselves for the six-phase poll commencing from October 21.

This was decided after a meeting of party leaders with state in-charge and union minister, Mukul Wasnik, he said.
