Siwan: A Bihar court on Thursday rejected former
RJD MP Md Shahabuddin`s prayer for regular bail in connection
with the murder of a local BJP leader Yogendra Pandey in 1998.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Amar Jyoti Srivastava turned
down his application for bail in the case being probed by the
Crime Investigation Department (CID).
Srivastava also dismissed his petition seeking bail in
connection with a case related to seizure of a mobile phone
from Shahabuddin`s ward in Siwan jail on October 21, 2010.
Pandey was gunned down by unidentified assailants at
Dwivedi Petrol Pump at Babunia petrol pump in Siwan police
station.
Shahabuddin is currently undergoing life-term for
kidnapping and murder of a CPI-ML(L) activist.
