HC asks BPSC to republish results

Patna High Court on Wednesday directed the Bihar Public Service Commission to examine the copies afresh and re-publish results of BCPSC exams.

Patna: Patna High Court on Wednesday directed the
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) to examine the copies
afresh and re-publish results of over two lakh candidates who
appeared in 52nd to 55th Bihar Combined Public Service
Commission examination 2011.

Justice A K Tripathy in his order made it clear that not a
single candidate selected earlier be dropped from the fresh
list, to be compiled after re-examining the copies.

The court had earlier constituted an expert committee that
held that of the 150 questions, nine were wrong. The committee
had recommended deletion of the nine questions from the
initial set of questions for the exam held in 2011.

Justice Tripathy passed the order on a bunch of petitions
filed by unsuccessful candidates challenging the results
declared by the BPSC on the ground that ten questions were
wrong.

They had urged the court for setting aside the results
declared by the commission and fresh evaluation of the answer
sheets considering the fact that the question papers comprised
wrong questions which had debarred a lot of candidates from
getting success.
