Nawada: With the death of two more
persons at Bhakhara village, the toll rose to five in the
spurious liquor drinking incident in Nawada district of Bihar,
police said Wednesday.
The two persons died during treatment at a government
hospital late last night, the police said.
Earlier, three persons, including a woman, had died
after drinking spurious liquor at Simari village in the
district last evening, the police said.
Besides the five deaths, seven others were admitted to
a hospital, the police said.
Meanwhile, the police have lodged a named FIR against
three persons for selling spurious liquor and raids were being
carried out to nab them, the police said.
The liquor shop near Gulichak under Pakribarama police
station area has also been sealed.
