Paswan favours `tit for tat` reply to Pakistan

Ramvilas Paswan on Thursday advocated that jawans in border areas should be given a free hand to tackle any attack.

Patna: Advocating that jawans in border areas should be given a free hand to tackle any attack, Lok Janshakti party president Ramvilas Paswan on Thursday favoured a tit for tat reply to Pakistan for killing five Indian soldiers.

"The Indian government should give a tit for tat reply to Pakistan for killing five jawans at Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir," Paswan told reporters.
The LJP chief visited families of sepoy Vijay Rai in Maner block of Patna this morning to condole his death.

"India is ten times bigger than Pakistan and our military strength is much more than theirs," he said.

The country could continue with dialogue but like Pakistan we should also give free hand to our soldiers on borders to give a "befitting" reply to them, he said.
Paswan announced Rs 20 lakh from his MP fund for development of village of sepoy Vijay Rai and donating one ambulance to Maner government hospital.

The LJP president sought either Paramveer chakra or Shaurya award for the five soldiers killed in ambush by Pakistan.

Paswan strongly criticised "insulting" comments on army personnel by Bihar minister Bhim Singh and demanded his removal.
