Patna: Bihar police on Monday said they will probe the large-scale violence and arson by the alleged supporters of the outlawed Ranvir Sena in Patna on Saturday during the funeral procession of the Sena supremo Brahmeshwar Singh.

Patna's Superintendent of Police (Rural) Manoj Kumar has been asked to submit report within the next 30 days, Director General of Police (DGP) Abhayanand told reporters.

He said Kumar will constitute his team to investigate into violence and arson by the alleged Ranvir Sena supporters during which they attacked people and policemen and set on fire several vehicles enroute to the sena supremo's funeral procession in the state capital.

Those persons involved in the violence and arson will be identified by the probe team and a chargesheet will be submitted against the accused persons in the court, the DGP said.
