Rajasthan govt pressurised to implicate Indresh: Rajnath

Senior BJP leader and former party chief Rajnath Singh on Sunday accused the Centre of pressurising the Rajasthan government to falsely implicate RSS leader Indresh Kumar in the Ajmer blast case.

Patna: Senior BJP leader and former party
chief Rajnath Singh on Sunday accused the Centre of pressurising
the Rajasthan government to falsely implicate RSS leader
Indresh Kumar in the Ajmer blast case.

The development smacks of `political conspiracy` to
influence the ongoing Assembly polls in Bihar and defame a
nationalist organisation like RSS, which also played a vital
role during Emergency, he told a press conference here.

"It has been strategically timed under the conspiracy to
influence the ongoing elections in Bihar... Whenever the
Congress has made such sinister attempts it has faced the
consequences," he said claiming the people were determined to
give NDA another chance in the state.

Referring to the demand by Rahul Gandhi for banning RSS,
Singh said a similar attempt was made in 1992 and subsequently
BJP had defeated Congress and formed the government at the
Centre.

"Before taking any action against RSS, Congress must take
into consideration that Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L K Advani and a
person like me are all actively attached to RSS.

"RSS is an organisation which is averse to doing politics
over religions and also against causing any harm to places of
worship in India," he said.

Singh also accused RJD, LJP and Congress of being `hand
in glove`.

"Both RJD and LJP are still supporting the UPA government
led by Congress ... They are equally responsible for sky
rocketing of prices of essential commodities," he alleged.
