Sadhu Yadav gets bail

A local court granted regular bail to former MP Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav on Friday when he surrendered before it.

Patna: A local court granted regular
bail to former MP Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav on Friday when
he surrendered before it following a non-bailable warrant of
arrest against him.

Accompanied by his lawyers, Yadav, brother-in-law of RJD
boss Lalu Prasad, surrendered before the court of Judicial
Magistrate Rajiv Ranjan who granted him bail after he
furnished a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties of like
amount.

Yadav has been charged with obstructing official work and
abusing and misbehaving with state transport secretary
NK Sinha to pressurise him to concede his case for transport
of an employee Sitaram Paswan on January 29, 2001.

The court had issued the NBW of arrest against Yadav, who
is currently in Congress, following his successive failures to
appear before it in past.

The FIR had been registered against Yadav with
Gardanibagh police station in Patna on January 29, 2011.
