Two Maoists were killed in firing between rival groups in a locality of Bihar`s Sitamarhi district, police said.

Sitamarhi: Two Maoists were killed in firing between rival groups in a locality of Bihar`s Sitamarhi district, police said on Monday.

A clash broke out between rival groups of the Maoists in Balua Bazar locality last night during which they fired on each other in which two of them sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot, the police said.

The dead were identified as Nek Mohammed and Sunil Gupta, they said.

The dispute over sharing extortion money was stated to be the motive behind the incident, the police said.
An investigation was on.
