Raipur: In a major success, Dantewada police have busted an arms manufacturing unit and arrested four Naxals.

Dantewada SP Ankit Garg told a news agency that police arrested two Naxals -- Dilip and Nandalal -- and their associate Ravindra Haldar from Sukma area of the district.

In another operation, Dantewada police raided an arms manufacturing unit of Naxals in Khammam district of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and arrested Gangaraj.

Garg said that Dilip was arrested on Saturday from Badesatti village in connection with the May 17 killing of seven CRPF jawans in the state, and his questioning led to the arrest of Nandlal, a panchayat member.

He said that Nandlal's interrogation revealed information about the armament factory in Andhra Pradesh.

CRPF and Dantewada police today jointly raided the factory in Khammam and seized six guns.

Police believe that Naxal sourced weapons from the factory on a large scale.
