Delhiites woke up to a humid on Thursday with the sultry weather continuing but the weather office promised relief, predicting thundershowers in some parts of the city.

New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a humid on Thursday with the sultry weather continuing but the weather office promised relief, predicting thundershowers in some parts of the city.

"The skies will remain cloudy but thunderstorms in some pockets of the city can be expected," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the official, the minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average while the maximum temperature was expected to hover around 37 degrees.

The humidity levels wavered between a high of 78 percent and low of 63 percent.

The rain recorded from 8.30 pm on Wednesday to 8.30 am on Thursday was 0.2 mm. Delhi has so far received 229.0 mm of rain, 10 percent below average.
