Aspiring actress attacked, robbed in East Delhi

New Delhi: A 25-year-old aspiring actress was allegedly attacked by two unidentified men, who snatched her purse and other belongings and thrashed her when she resisted their attempt in East Delhi`s Vishwas Nagar area.

The incident took place on Thursday evening when the woman, who has played roles in some Hindi movies, was looking for an auto-rickshaw in Vishwas Nagar area to return to her home in Anand Vihar.

"In her complaint, the woman has told us that two men, who were in their early 20`s, attacked her and tried to snatch her belongings. When she resisted, they thrashed and pushed before snatching her iPhone and purse, which had Rs 5000," said a police official.

A case of molestation and robbery against unidentified persons have been registered at Farsh Bazar police station and efforts are on to nab the culprits, police said.
