Darbhanga: A court here Thursday asked Tihar Jail Superintendent to explain his position for not producing underworld don Fazlur Rehman despite notices earlier in connection with a kidnapping case.
Fourth Additional District and Sessions Judge Jitendra Kumar asked the Superintendent of the Jail to explain his position and also ensure physical appearance of Rehman on January 24, 2011.
The underworld don has been named accused in kidnapping of businessman from Muzaffarpur Amrendra Singh from Vishwavidyalaya police station area in Darbhanga town in 1998.
The court had earlier asked the Superintendent of the Tihar jail to ensure production of the accused on January four and December 7, 2010.
