New Delhi: The rage spread, rapidly and steadily, through India's national capital on Saturday as students, activists and just concerned citizens gathered at various places to protest the torture and gang-rape of a young woman.

Some demanding capital punishment to the perpetrators of the heinous crime, some chanting slogans against government’s apathy, some protesting against Delhi police laxity, the angry protesters are demanding justice for the 23-year-old paramedical student, who was raped by a gang of six men in a moving bus in Delhi on Sunday night.

Rarely, if ever, have so many people taken to the streets in so many different places for a single cause. It seems to be an unstoppable momentum.

  • Shinde also hinted that government may consider death penalty in rarest of rare rape cases.

  • Demanding justice and fast track courts, many people have rallied in protest in the capital in the days since the incident on Sunday night, when the physiotherapist intern was brutally assaulted and her male friend beaten in a moving bus. Both were stripped and dumped by the roadside near the domestic airport after the nearly 40-minute ordeal.

  • As people hit the streets of Delhi to vent their grief and anger, the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in central Delhi offered the victim free intestinal transplant.

  • Doctors treating the woman said their focus was on providing her the best treatment as her life was at grave risk. She underwent surgery to remove a gangrenous section of intestine, and there was risk of infection.

in rape cases ko badhawa hi Govt ne diya hai kyu criminals achche se jannte hai k wo crime krege aur 3 4 mnth mai zamant pr riha ho jayege jb tak govt inhein phansi ya dildehla dene wali saza nhi deti tab tak crime rukege nhi.hr jagha kahi na kahi rape hona jaise aam baat ho chuki hai jitne wo criminals gunhegar hai usse zyada Govt gunhegar hai .to ek gunhegar se kya umeed rakhe k wo dusre gunhegar ko jldi saza dega aur ac saza dega jisse crime dobara na ho.kuch din baad sb shaant ho jayega aur fir yeh criminals aram se ghum phir rahe hoge yaha kisi k 7 koi insaaf nhi hota agr insaaf kkrna hai to bs unhein phansi pr latka do khuleaam taki yeh crime dobara na ho ske .

Death will not be truly deterrent, which has been seen in several instances. Yes there must be exemplarary punishment. This would mean to give them real physical hard punishment that will be visble to the accused as well as well publicised in public media. That I think can be effective. Term must be made literal life rigorous punishment.

the law makers (MPs) should understand the sentiments of the people of the country towards women protection. they (the people) have sent them (the MPs ) to the Parliament in order to get social and economical protection in return. the delhi gang-rape clearly indicates that the Parliament is not at all concerned about women`s protection. strong laws should be enacted soon to punish rapists

GOVT OR POLICE TIME PASS KAR RAHE HAIN, YEH ITNI JALDI UN JANWARO KO SAJA NAHI DENGE. HAAN AGAR PETROL, DISEAL YA GAS PRICE HIKE KARNE HOTE TO SAME NITE SE APPLICABLE HO JATE. YEH PUBLIC KO HARAAS KAR SAKTE HAIN. UN PER LATHI CHARGE KAR SAKTE HAIN. BUT THEY WILL NOT DECALRE PUNISHMENT FOR THOSE 6 CRIMINALS ON SAME DAY. AND IF GOVT ANS POLICE KO KOI PROBLEM HAI UNKO PUNISHMNET DENE MAIN. THEN THEY SHOULD BE HANG ON SAME PLACE WHERE THEY DID SUCH INHUMAN ACT PUBLIC WILL DECIDE THEIR PUNISHMENT.

How could a lunatic lawyer even after describing it as a rarest of the rare justify life sentence for such idiots. A rape according to me is more heinous than a murder because the women who had to endure the pain dies of it everyday. Think about her life and the aftermath of the incident. Can anything be done to return her dignity? With no offence,I hope the law students will understand what i mean to say. Why can`t we have a tougher law and order system. Why can`t police be left out of the political nexus and be allowed to function independently. In my opinion our tax money should be used more wisely. The law and order situation should improve in the country. Why should women be stopped from going to movies or work? What sort of a rationale is this? It really aches to be a part of all this non-sense and not being able to do anything about it.
