Delhi wakes up to rainy Monday morning

An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the city received 0.3 mm rainfall by 8.30 a.m.

New Delhi: Delhi experienced light rains on Monday morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 17.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season`s average.

An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the city received 0.3 mm rainfall by 8.30 a.m.

"There will be mist or haze in the morning. Light rain with thundershowers is likely to occur in some areas in the morning or afternoon," an official said.

According to the official, the maximum temperature was likely to hover around 29 degree Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 88 percent, the weather office said.

Sunday`s minimum temperature was recorded at 16.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above season`s average while the maximum temperature settled at 29.5 degrees Celsius.
