Hitch delays metro service on Gurgaon line

New Delhi: Metro services on the busy
Gurgaon line in the national capital were delayed for
sometime in the evening hours due to a technical problem
between two stations.

Due to a problem in the track circuit between Green
Park and Hauz Khas metro stations, the trains were run at a
restricted speed. This led to delay on the line.

However, there was no major delay during the evening
rush hours.

A track circuit is an electrical device used to detect
the presence or absence of a train on rail tracks and used to
inform signallers and control relevant signals.
