Two women commit suicide in Delhi

A 21-year-old girl student allegedly committed suicide in west Delhi on Thursday.

New Delhi: A 21-year-old girl student
allegedly committed suicide in west Delhi on Thursday, depressed
over a plastic surgery on her hand going wrong, police said.

The incident was reported from Hastaal area and the
deceased has been identified as Rani who was doing her second
year BA through correspondence course in Delhi University.
A two-page purported suicide note was recovered from her
in which she claimed she was depressed over the surgery going
wrong.

In the suicide note, Rani said she would not have allowed
the doctor to go ahead with surgery if she knew it will go
wrong.

In another case, a 28-year-old woman, an administrative
officer in an insurance firm, allegedly committed suicide last
night in Vasant Kunj. However, her family alleged she was
murdered for dowry.

The victim has been identified as Swati. Her husband
Rakesh Yadav is a software engineer. An SDM inuiry has been
ordered.

Meanwhile, police arrested the husband of a 25-year-old
dentist who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at
her residence in Greater Kailash yesterday.

Varun was arrested on charges of abetting her suicide.
