Mirzapur: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has a wish – he wants the President of the United States of America to one day wear a wrist watch that has the tag `Made in Mirzapur` on it.
Addressing a rally here, Rahul told the crowd that he wanted a day to come when the “American president is asked - Bhaiya, what is the time? The US president looks at his watch which has `Made in Mirzapur` wirtten on it.”
Rahul then goes on to say - “The US president then asks his people - Where is this Mirzapur? The youth of Mirzapur are snatching jobs from American youth.”
He also said that he wanted to see not only watches but also cameras, shoes and T-shirts etc which had a `Made in Mirzapur`, `Made in Gonda`, `Made in Saharanpur`, `Made in Lucknow` and `Made in Varanasi` tags on them. For this he opined that the youth needed to have unity and not be divided.
Before making this comment the Congress vice president said that the US president was scared of the Indian youth because he was aware of their power.
“The American president is first scared of China, its youth, and then he is scared of Indian youth,” Rahul said, adding, “He knows your power.”
He went on to add that though the US president knew the power of youth belonging to Uttar Pradesh, the local leaders were not aware of it.
Rahul maintained that the leaders do not know that the day youth of UP wake up and get jobs, they will change the state. He also said that the youth of UP had the power to change the whole world.
But as per Rahul the leaders had no trust in them but only trusted their caste and religion.
