Madurai: Hitting out at DMK, Tamil Nadu minister Sellur K Raju on Sunday said Stalin or Karunanidhi had no right to talk about the law and order situation in the state.

Addressing an election meeting here, Raju said it was Chief Minister Jayalalithaa who freed the city from "hooligans and rowdies who committed atrocities during the DMK rule."

He also referred to the 2007 attack on the `Dinakaran` newspaper office here.
Three employees of the daily were killed in the attack on the office on May 9, 2007, following the publication of a survey which gave an edge to then Deputy Chief Minister Stalin over his brother Alagiri, then Union Minister, to succeed their father.

At election rallies, both Karunanidhi and Stalin had flayed the ruling AIADMK for the "deteriorating" law and order situation.

The chief minister had allocated Rs 250 crore for undertaking development works in this city, the minister said.
He alleged that DMK, during the time it was a partner in the Union government, did not do anything for the state.
