Panaji: An English-Arabic document containing
"threatening content" was found on a chartered flight that
landed at the city airport this morning, officials said on Tuesday.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials said the
document was found lying in the empty aircraft by a sweeper
after all passengers, who arrived from London, had
disembarked.
The document was seized by the Central Industrial
Security Force (CISF), they said.

The letter was found in the aircraft run by Thomson
Airways with 243 passengers on board, which arrived here from
Gatwick at around 6 am, they added.

"The sweeper, who was cleaning the aircraft before its
return journey to London, stumbled upon this piece of paper.
The letter was having a threatening tone," a senior official
said.

However, he refused to divulge further details claiming
"everything is being investigated by intelligence agencies."
After a thorough check, the aircraft was allowed to fly
back to London.

A complaint has been registered with the Vasco police
station.

Goa is on an alert after specific inputs about possible
terror attack likely from the western coast.
