Ahmedabad: Public prosecutor in the 2002
Naroda Gam and Dipda Darwaza riot cases Ajay Choksi on Friday
resigned from the post citing personal reasons.
"Yes, I have resigned, as the health of my wife has
deteriorated and I would not be able to give time," Choksi
said.
He has also resigned from the post of special public
prosecutor, assisting the Supreme Court-appointed Special
Investigation Team (SIT), probing the riot cases, for the same
reason.
Naroda Gam and Dipda Darwaza riot cases are also being
probed by the SIT and they are before different special
courts.
