Three rain-related deaths have been reported from Kutch district of Gujarat since yesterday, officials said Monday.

Ahmedabad: Three rain-related deaths have been reported from Kutch district of Gujarat since yesterday, officials said Monday.

Three persons, including a four-year-old girl were killed in separate incidents of electrocution in Kutch in the last 24 hours, they said.

Several districts of Gujarat including Kutch, Rajkot Jamnagar and Ahmedabad experienced moderate to heavy overnight rains coupled with gusty winds as tropical cyclone `Phet` further weakened.

Kutch recorded 70 mm of rains last night while Rajkot received 75 mm showers last night throwing normal life of out of gear with water logging in various low-lying areas of the city.

Jamnagar got 55 mm rainfall while Junagadh district recorded 25 mm of rains. Ahmedabad is receiving showers since early hours today with commuter facing a lot of difficulties due to water logging in low-lying areas of the city.
Sporadic rains were also recorded from other parts of the state like Vadodara, Surat and North Gujarat region.

The Indian Meteorologic Department has said that `Phet` has further wakened into a well marked low pressure area and has crossed Pakistan. Now it is over west Rajasthan and adjoining central Pakistan.
Porbandar district administration has rescued five crew members of ship called Sea Gull which had got stuck at the coast following winds and rains, officials said.
