Five women, among eight killed in road accident

Chandigarh: Eight persons including five women and a child were killed when their van rammed into a stationary truck-container in Haryana`s Sonepat district Sunday morning, police said.
Three women and two males died on the spot near Rai area in Sonepat district while the rest died on way to hospital, they said.
It appeared driver of the van, who was among the victims, had dozed off at the wheels, police added.
