One new case of swine flu in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The Government Medical College Hospital admitted another case of swine flu on Tuesday. The patient, a 40-year old lorry driver in the City Corporation had symptoms of the H1N1 influenza, and got himself tested at the hospital on Monday. He was admitted after the results came in positive and has been kept in an isolation ward, hospital sources said on Tuesday.

His family members have also been administered medication to prevent the spread of the virus.

This is the eighth case of swine flu in the last 10 days at the hospital, and the seven others, including two kids, were discharged a couple of days ago, the sources said.
