Harinder Hira new Himachal chief secretary

Shimla: Harinder Hira has been appointed as
the new chief secretary of Himachal Pradesh.

Currently posted as additional chief secretary, Hira has
been elevated to the chief secretary post following the
retirement of Rajwant Sandhu on Saturday.

Hira, a 1976-batch IAS officer, would be the fourth women
officer to adorn the highest civil post in the state.
