Bajrang Dal to protest against AFSPA withdrawal

Lashing out Omar Abdullah for his demand for withdrawal of AFSPA from the state, Bajrang Dal on Tuesday said it will held demonstrations against the move.

Jammu: Lashing out at Jammu and Kashmir
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his demand for withdrawal of
Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the state, Bajrang Dal
on Tuesday said it will held demonstrations against the move.

"We will soon launch a campaign against Omar by holding
demonstrations and burning his effigies in all districts in
Jammu and Kashmir in protest against his demand for revocation
of AFSPA," JK Bajrang Dal Convener Neeraj Donariya told
reporters here.

Asserting that the present situation in the Valley is not
appropriate for the withdrawal of AFSPA, he said revocation of
the Act will give a boost to militancy in the state and will
create disturbances.

He said his party will submit a memorandum to President
Pratibha Patil, opposing AFSPA revocation from the Valley.

Alleging that the Chief Minister has raised the issue for
political benefits, Donariya said, "Despite denial of Armed
Forces, Omar`s adamant attitude over the issue is to get
political dividends."
