Cooperation of society needed to eradicate graft: Soz

Calling for eradication of corruption from society, Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Saif-ud-Din Soz today sought cooperation from all sections, especially from employees, in eradicating this evil.

Saif-ud-Din Soz today sought cooperation from all sections,
especially from employees, in eradicating this evil.

There is need to wage war against corruption as it is
eating every vital of the society and thus all sections
should come forward in eradicating this menace, Soz said
addressing rally of workers and employees organized by Indian
National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) to mark the May Day
here.

Maintaining that government employees were responsible
for socio-economic development of the country, Soz stressed
that they should work with honesty and dedication to fulfil
the aspirations of the people.

Referring to the recent strike of the government
employees in the state, he said that confrontation was not a
solution of any problem and all issues can be sorted out
through dialogue.

On the occasion, Minister for Public Health
Engineering (PHE), Irrigation and Flood Control Taj
Mohi-ud-Din said that coalition government has taken various
landmark decision for the welfare of the employees.

He said that government has raised daily wages from Rs
60 to Rs 110 per day and all daily wagers, contractuals and
ad hoc personnel engaged prior to 2005 will be regularised
shortly.
