Srinagar: Cultural ties between India and Iran were discussed during a meeting between Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Iranian Ambassador to India Syed Mehdi Nabizadeh here.
Nabizadeh, who is here to take part in the birthday celebration of Hazrat Ali - the fourth Caliph of Islam, called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here last evening, an official spokesman said today.
During the hour-long meeting, the Governor and the Iranian Ambassador recalled the centuries-old cultural relations between the two countries, the spokesman said.
"They also discussed various matters of common interest to India and Iran," he said.
