"The BJP calls upon Government of India and J&K Government to immediately intervene to check human rights violations in Gilgit-Baltistan," said a resolution which was unanimously passed by the members of the working committee at a two-day conference here this evening.

"The J&K Legislature must adopt a resolution opposing reported move of Pakistan to lease out Gilgit?Baltistan to China," it said.

The party said it shall not tolerate any compromise with territorial integrity of Jammu and Kashmir and the UPA government is bound by 1994 unanimous resolution of Indian Parliament to get back areas of J&K, including PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan, which continue to be under illegal occupation of Pakistan.
