Militant killed in gunbattle in South Kashmir

Srinagar: An unidentified militant was tonight killed in a brief gunbattle with security forces in Tral area of South Kashmir`s Pulwama district, police said.
A group of militants opened fire at a security forces` patrol party near Tral Bus stand, 35 kms from here, they said.

Security forces retaliated killing one militant while his accomplices managed to flee from the spot.
The identity of the slain militant could not be ascertained yet, police said.
