Omar amused to see `sort of people` in Hazare bandwagon

Noting that people`s power was not only about "three nights of candles and music", Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah said he was amused to see the sort of people trying to jump on the Anna Hazare bandwagon.

Srinagar: Noting that people`s power was not
only about "three nights of candles and music", Jammu and
Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said he was amused
to see the sort of people trying to jump on the Anna Hazare
bandwagon.

"People`s power is a continuous process and not three
nights of candles and music," Omar wrote on micro-blogging
site twitter.
The Chief Minister said he was amused "to see the sort of
people trying to jump on the Hazare bandwagon."

"I`m all for people`s power but with great power comes
even greater responsibility," he said after the
anti-corruption crusader called off his fast-unto-death at
Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
"Now that victory has been declared, (it is) time to ask
who will the people`s reps (representatives) be accountable to
and how will accountability be enforced," Omar said.

Hazare ended his 98-hour protest after the government
issued a gazette notification constituting a 10-member Joint
Committee of ministers and civil society activists, including
him, to draft an effective Lokpal Bill.
