Jammu: The erstwhile PDP-Congress regime
had charted out a roadmap for equitable development in Jammu
and Kashmir which has led to progress in the state, opposition
PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said on Sunday.
Addressing a pubic meeting at Ramsu area in Ramban
district, Sayeed said special emphasis was laid on
accelerating developmental activities in backward and
neglected areas during the previous PDP-Congress rule.
He especially mentioned Sinthantop-Kishtwar, Warwan-
Kokernag and Bhaderwah-Basholi road projects in this regard.
The PDP patron, however, regretted that the present
state government has failed to carry forward the development
agenda.
Pointing towards the huge potential of power
generation in Doda district, Sayeed demanded that locals
should be given priority in the new hydro-electric projects.
