for the upcoming Amarnath yatra, Director General of Police
Kuldeep Khoda emphasised upon the establishment of a joint
control room for better coordination between security agencies
to ensure smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

"We emphasise upon establishment of a joint control room
for better and close coordination with other sister agencies
to ensure smooth conduct of Amarnath yatra," Khoda said while
addressing a security review meeting for Amarnath yatra at the
Police Control Room (PCR) here last evening.

The meeting to review the security arrangements made for
the pilgrimage, which would begin in Jammu and Kashmir on June
29, was attended by senior officers of police, paramilitary,
Army and intelligence agencies.

facilities for the pilgrims during their stay in the base camp
and at other places, sources said.

The DGP also said officials should ensure humane approach
