Jammu: A woman associate of the arrested self-styled Hizb Divisional Commander Javaid Qureshi was arrested in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on the interrogation inputs of Hizb divisional commander Gulam Nabi Sheikh alais Javaid Qureshi, police team raided a house in Sirwal-Behota village of Marmat belt in Doda district last evening and arrested Yasmeena Banoo, Deputy Inspector General Ramban-Kishtwar-Doda Maneesh Sinha said.
A Chinese pistol, two magazines and 10 rounds were recovered from her possession, the DIG said.
Banoo was married to Gulam Hassan a fortnight back, they said, adding her husband was not aware of her activities.
Qureshi was arrested from Dehrandun in Uttranchal and later handed over to Jammu and Kashmir police last month.
