Besra quits BJP in Jharkhand

Former MLA Surya Singh Besra has resigned from the primary membership of BJP in protest against the poor approach of the party in tackling corruption prevailing in the state.

Singh Besra has resigned from the primary membership of BJP in
protest against the poor approach of the party in tackling
corruption prevailing in the state.

Besra, the founder president of All Jharkhand Students
Union (AJSU), sent his resignation letter to BJP state unit
president, Raghuvar Das, on Monday.

In a statement here today, Besra said he had joined
BJP in October and contested the last assembly election from
Ghatsila assembly constituency as BJP candidate.
Besra, had resigned from the undivided Bihar assembly
on August 12 about two decades ago to protest the then Bihar
Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav`s statement that separate
Jharkhand state will be created on his body.
