Derailment of goods train disrupt train services

Ranchi: Train services in Ranchi Rail Division has been affected following the derailment of a coal-laden goods train between Gangaghat and Gautamdhara railway stations in Ranchi district, railway sources said on Sunday.
Twenty wagons derailed and fell on another track yesterday when the goods train was heading to Ranchi from Muri station, forcing the railway officials to divert or cancel trains on the route, the sources said.

Three passengers trains and Hatia-Howrah Inter-city train were cancelled during the day, the sources said.

"Clearance of the debris is in the last stage," an official of the Ranchi Railway Division said, adding the derailment blocked one of the two tracks.

There was no harm to any person following the result.
