Man assaulted by unknown gunmen in Jharkhand

A villager was shot at and critically injured early Monday by an unknown gunman at Ghatsila in Jharkhand.

Jamshedpur: A villager was shot at and critically injured early Monday by an unknown
gunman at Ghatsila in Jharkhand.

"Fifty-year-old Gurucharan Karmakar was shot at when
he failed to tell the whereabouts of Nebhu Karmakar, a
resident of Kendisole village in adjoining West Bengal to the gunman," Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ranjit Prasad said.
Gurucharan was sleeping with wife and daughter when
the gunman barged into his house at around 3.30 am in search
of Nebhu, he said.
He was rushed to a hospital in Chakulia, where doctors
referred him to Tata Main Hospital here, the police said.
