Maoists and security forces on Saturday exchanged fire at Koinar forests in Khunti district but there was no report of any casualty, police said here.

The security forces fired about 150 rounds and the ultras
fired about 200 bullets in the hour-long encounter, the
Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Kaushik told reporters
here, adding that there was no casually from any side.
Maoists belonged to the Kundan Pahan group, responsible
for beheading of Special Branch officer Francis Induwar in
2009, he added.
